CEFIXIME ANHYDROUS 50mg

VALAXIM DRY SYRUP has CEFIXIME ANHYDROUS as its active ingredient which is a bactericidal and stable to hydrolyse by beta lactamase. Many patients build up resistance from penicillin and cephalosporins due to presence of beta-lactamases but they may be susceptible to CEFIXIME. CEFIXIME ANHYDROUS is a semi synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic belongs to the third generation cephalosporin class of medication effective against number of bacterial infections caused by different bacterial species. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. VALAXIM DRY SYRUP is mainly formulated for pediatric use.

CEFIXIME ANHYDROUS in VALAXIM DRY SYRUP inhibits the cell wall synthesis of bacteria by binding with penicillin binding protein which further inhibit the transpeptidation and last stage of cell wall synthesis as a result cell lysis occurs.

VALAXIM DRY SYRUP is indicated to use in following conditions in pediatric patients-

  • Urinary tract infections
  • Upper and lower respiratory tract infections
  • Acute otitis media
  • Bacterial conjunctivitis
  • Pneumonia
  • Bronchitis
  • Skin & Soft Tissue Infection
  • Sinusitis
  • Tonsillitis

PEDIATRIC DOSE- 8-10 mg/kg daily or as prescribed by physician.

Before using VALAXIM DRY SYRUP please tell your doctor about all kind of allergies you have and also if you have renal impairment then tell this to doctor because this drug is not for patients having renal impairment, it may cause harmful effect.
