COMPOSITION-

CYPROHEPTADINE HYDROCHLORIDE 2mg, TRICHOLINE CITRATE 275mg, SORBITOL 70%

CYPROHEPTADINE HYDROCHLORIDE, TRICHOLINE CITRATE & SORBITOL are active ingredients combined to formulate VALACTIN-B SYRUP a piperidine antihistamine syrup used as nutritional supplement and appetizer. This is the combination of an antihistamine, lipoprotic agent and a sugar alcohol with sweet taste.

CYPROHEPTADINE HYDROCHLORIDE is an antihistamine with antiserotonergic action. It functions by competing with free histamine for binding at HA-receptor. As a result it inhibits the negative effect of histamine.

TRICHOLINE CITRATE converts the deposited fat into lecithin and other phospholipids which is a major component of high density lipoprotein that helps in the metabolisation of cell membrane cholesterol and promotes hepatic degeneration.

SORBITOL also known as glucitol a sugar alcohol with sweet taste obtained by reduction of glucose. It has laxative actions functions by drawing water into large intestine that's why bowel movement enhances.

VALACTIN-B is indicated to use in following conditions-

  • Loss Of Appetite
  • Malnutrition
  • General Debility
  • Negative Nitrogen Balance & Appetite Stimulant
  • Liver tone
  • Adults: 2 teaspoonfuls (10 mL) 3 times a day.
  • Children 7-14 years: 1-2 teaspoonfuls 3 times a day
  • 2-6 years: 1 teaspoonful 3 times a day. Or as directed by physician
